Taiwan leader Ma Ying-jeou on Wednesday urged Wang Jin-pyng, head of the island's legislative body, to step down after the latter's alleged involvement in a lobbying scandal.
關(guān)說(lobbying),在臺(tái)灣的語境中,指當(dāng)官者利用職權(quán)干擾正常執(zhí)法或行政活動(dòng)(to use one’s power to interfere with normal law enforcement or administrative actions),與我們所講的“說情”意思大抵相近。國(guó)民黨考紀(jì)會(huì)(the KMT disciplinary meeting)已于11日撤銷王金平黨籍(to withdraw Wang's party membership)。
